Disable Magento Products Through the Database
For some reason, one day you may need to disable products through the database on one of your Magento developments. When this day comes, you may want to put your head into your hands and cry – you’re not wrong. Magento’s database structure isn’t exactly slim!
However, never fear because Ecommerce Web Design is here!
First of all, go to catalog_product_entity and locate the id of the product(s) you want to change via the SKU. Once found, write down the entity_id’s.
Then go to catalog_product_entity_int and change any rows with the entity_id with the attribute_id 84 (which is the status) to a value of 2 for disabled. Just for reference, 0 = unselected, 1 = enabled and 2 = disabled.
Hooray! That’s your little Magento trick for the day from the Magento Blog – come back soon for more tutorials, tips and tricks!
